Romans 10:9-10 NLTThe Gospel or Good News of Jesus ChristGod is holy and cannot coexist with sin. Man sinned through disobedience and that sin caused a separation between God and man. Jesus is the ONLY way to restore that relationship. He restored the relationship by paying the ultimate penalty - death on the Cross. He was laid in a grave; yet rose on the 3rd day with all power given to Him by God. He shared His resurrection power with the Church for the advancement of His Kingdom and will soon return for the Church. You may be asking why should I want this relationship with Christ. Here are a few simple reasons:
God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. Your sin is in the way of that relationship; He sent Jesus to die in your place. if you place your faith in Jesus, His death bridges that gap between you and God. God will forgive your sins and adopt you as His child.
Would you like to be a child of God? If so pray this simple prayer:
Dear God, thank you for providing Jesus to die in my place. Please forgive me for my sins and make me your child. Thank you, in Jesus' name! Amen!
